We all love a man in uniform
Working on a Saturdays sucks – unless you’re interviewing hot Naval pilots that is, dressed in their military regalia, peaked caps and all. Schwing!
I had an inckling these guys would be cute, but they literally took our breath away as work buddy Maxine and I approached them, trying to hide our girly giggles behind a professional persona.
I guess I have a bit of a history with men in uniform – out of the last four men I’ve dated, three of them have been police officers – but Naval pilots shoot straight to the top of my list. The uniform, the manners, the peaked cap, the salute, their natural confidence; well, I was hooked.
Max and I ran ourselves ragged after these guys on Saturday, and we didn’t mind one bit, and even if skirts and heels weren’t the most appropriate attire when we were on our feet all day, at least we looked good. And these guys looked even better!
The aim of the day was to interview a couple of the Naval pilots. And I don’t mean the sort of interview I’m used to doing – an hour-long chat with a cuppa and me taking shorthand notes in my notepad. No, this interview was recorded on video. Eek.
Way out of my comfort zone, I have no experience of recording interviews on camera, and I was desperately trying to come across as the ultimate professional in multi-media journalism to my uniformed audience. Read more about this here.
So, at the end of a long day – and with some good video footage in the bag – we reluctantly said our farewells to our military heroes and boarded the train home with huge smiles on our faces. Working on a Saturday really wasn’t that bad, not with a view like that!

Ok I’m hooked – now where can I see the video results of these naval interviews (from a purely professional, multi-media research point of view of course).
